Semi-Annual CELDI Meeting @ Dallas, TX

On the past October 19 and 20, 2010, the ILPIL team traveled to Dallas, TX to attend the Fall 2010 Semi-Annual Center of Engineering Logistics and Distribution (CELDi) meeting.

During the event several meetings were held by all the different members of CELDi, including the Industrial Advisory Board Business Meeting, the Research Success Stories, the Technical Track and the Poster Session.

The meetings were held so the members of the Center (industry sponsors and academia researchers) could interact with each other and see what the results on finished, or advanced projects were, and also, what other projects were being proposed and developed by the other members. The information and idea sharing between the members is one of the main overall purposes of the meeting.

The participation of ASU’s ILPIL on the conference was on the Technical Track presentations and on the Poster Session. The projects presented in the Technical Track were the “Logistics Analysis of the Port of Guaymas in the Supply Chain of Regional Companies”; the project “Implementation of a Logistics Platform for the Distribution of Fresh Produce from Sinaloa in the United States” was presented as part of the Poster Session.

We would like to thank CELDi for the organization of the meetings and congratulate them for a successful event; we are looking forward to next Conference.
